It’s been way too long since I’ve done a Tot School post. After Easter, I was focused on preparing for my parents’ long-anticipated visit, so I did very little blog posting. In fact, I did far less Tot School planning than normal. Gabriela spent a lot more time than usual just playing or watching videos. Not ideal, I admit, but that’s the way it happened. I did manage to fit in some things, so this post will include a variety of activities Gabriela did the last few months of school. We just started our new school year today, so hopefully I’ll be able to begin posting Tot School stuff again!
Joining Isaac for his “Oklahoma Land Run” (yes…in England)
Learning to ride a tricycle—she doesn’t have it down yet…we need to practice more, but the weather here doesn’t cooperate.
Rainbow Aqua Draw and Woodkins dolls—2 of her favorite toys!
Littlest Pet Shop toys—another favorite.
I began doing “5 a Day Books” with Gabriela. You can read more about it at The Imagination Tree, and you can see my posts on our 5 a Day books HERE.
Grandparent Time—This was the highlight of our year! My parents finally came to visit us in England. Here’s Grandma reading to Gabriela:
Of course we took my parents all over the country. I won’t show you pictures of each place, but we visited the Lake District, North Wales (Conwy, Bodnant Gardens, Caernarfon Castle, Beaumaris), Chester, London, Oxford, White Cliffs of Dover, and Stonehenge.
Playground time
Some more tot trays:
This is a 3D Tic-tac-toe game…oh, I’m sorry, I mean naughts and crosses! Anyway, Gabriela enjoyed stacking them on the pegs and putting them on her fingers! Then she turned over the board and made it a table.
Turtle lacing board—She didn’t last long with this.
Thomas the Tank Engine lift the flap book
Fairy garden and garden sensory tub (see THIS post):
Tweezering spiky balls (whatever they’re called)—Isaac set up this tray.
Nature bowl and magnifying glass—another of Isaac’s ideas.
Another visit to the Lake District:
My sweet baby!
I’m linking this post to “Tot School” at 1+1+1=1.
